As we’ve mentioned in the previous post, our dear users and friends have been surprising us with the large amount of submited locations daily! We really didn’t expect that, but this makes us feel really good! Thank you, guys!

We would like to share with you that we are already working in the new version of bjjMap.com and we hope to bring a better ad more attractive service for the BJJ commnunity world wide! As soon as we progress, we will post about new features, but we would really appreciate if you reply to this post with suggestions!

bjjMap reached 227 locations today! Our users (we prefer to call them friends) posted about us on several BJJ related forums around the world and BJJ teachers and athletes have been visiting us and feeding the map with academies and events day by day. We verify every new submission before adding on the map and that’s a lot of work, but hey, it’s for a good cause!

We would like to greet every BJJ fighter from the US, UK, Germany, Hungary and Italy for supporting us too!

The Pan Am Championship is getting closer and I’m pretty sure you’ve been sweating the hell out on the mat lately (keep it up!). Well, we are really glad to announce that we’ve got a great feedback from the UK bjj & grappling community!

We’ve got a lot of compliment emails and also UK fighter “Slideyfoot” provided us with a massive map of UK bjj academies (90+) that we will be inserting in the main bjjMap soon! Thank you, Slideyfoot!

Seems like the UK is the new “HOT” spot for bjj in the world, wich is a result of the great effort of top bjj fighters and teachers (Maurição, Roger Gracie, Bráulio Carcará, Otávio Sousa, Victor Estima and many others…) to bring knowledge, skill and discipline of the pure brazilian jiu-jitsu to Great Britain.

It won’t take long until we can have a world champion from the UK in the black belt division in further CBJJ World Championships.

Make sure to check the great work and services provided by the Grappling Arts Association (GAA) that represents the IBJJF in the UK.

We’ve been working hard lately to add new locations on the map. There are several new academies and events listed, make sure to check if there’s something going on near you.
